Detox and Destress
Take a deep breath, inhale peace & happiness, and exhale stress & worry.
1. Eat Some Honey! Destress in sweetness!
Besides being a moisturizer for your skin, honey also provides compounds that reduce inflammation and soften your skin. The nutrients in honey also produce a calming effect to your nervous system.
2. Play with a Pet!
Interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol and lower your blood pressure. Animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of happiness, and boost your Calmfidence!
3. Connect with Nature!
With the warm weather creeping in, taking a break from the inside is essential. Nature is the most natural stress reliever. So, go on a walk, sit on the patio, open a window to let some fresh air in, take a deep breath of nature's Calmfidence!
Reading is proven to relax your body by lowering your heart rate and easing the tension in your muscles. A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%.
5. Find Joy in the moment!
Focus on the moments in your life when they are happening. Living in the moment helps reduce the stress of the unknown. It helps put into perspective what is important to you.
6. Transform Nervous Energy Into Enthusiasm.
Turn anxiety into fuel! Use built up energy to your advantage. Roll up your sleeves and do some spring cleaning. Organizing just one small area in your home can burn off excess energy and provide a rewarding sense of accomplishment easing general anxiety.
7. Get up earlier than everyone else!
You will be amazed by how much you can get done simply by waking up earlier! With all the extra time you will have in the morning, this will reduce your stress. According to a study by biologist Christoph Randler, early risers have more personal time, and an increased sense of well being than people who start their day later. Be proactive with the hours in the day and wake up your Calmfidence early!
8. Do Nothing!
It is okay to not constantly be doing something! You don’t have to fill your time with tasks, activities, and errands all of the time! A day off doesn’t have to be spent doing yard work and cleaning out your closet. It’s fine to take a break, relax, and do nothing every once in a while. Don’t stress over not doing anything, enjoy it! Let your Calmfidence rest!
