Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia for Calmfidence®

These tiny seeds do much more for us than grow our beloved Chia Pet!  Chia Seeds are small, yet powerful – packing a huge punch of essential nutrients and Calmfidence®  benefits!

Chia Seeds are a major source of magnesium, an essential mineral for managing stress. They’re also chock full of Omega-3 fatty acids – providing us with anti-inflammatory benefits to help lower our stress and anxiety. They also contain the amino acid, tryptophan.  You’ve heard that before…usually around Thanksgiving time! This triggers the release of serotonin in the brain that regulates mood, promotes happiness, and increases calmness.

You may be thinking – how do I eat these little fellas? Here are some ideas on how to incorporate these secret stress busters into your diet:

  • Make them into a pudding. Say what?! That’s right – soak them overnight in water or milk of your choice (my favorite is almond milk).  The seeds absorb the liquid and voilà – a delicious and nutritious breakfast! Top with some bananas & cinnamon for even more Calmfidence®  – YUM!
  • Sprinkle them on yogurt
  • Throw them into the blender when you make your daily shake
  • Add a little crunch onto your salad
  • Mix them into your baked goods (bread, pancakes, waffles, muffins, etc).
