My grandfather always told me to walk like you are on a mission, like you are on your way to do great things. I once worked with an emcee who told me that before he walked on to any stage he would pretend that he just came from some place amazing right before he walked out. Before an interview, a speech, a tough conversation or negotiation, or anytime you have to stand up for yourself, literally stand up for yourself! Stand up straight, hold your head up, open up your body language, stand sturdy on your feet, avoid self touch, uncross your arms and legs, and let your body tell the story that you are ready for whatever comes your way.
