Body Language Calmfidence®

Many women sell themselves short with this Body Language mistake. Nothing will minimize your presence more than bad posture. Often times we are subconsciously making ourselves smaller and giving our power away when we implode into ourselves with rolled shoulders, chin down, arms and hands clasped demurely in front of us. This can happen at any height when women don’t want to draw too much attention to themselves or don’t have the Calmfidence® to own their own space.

But for tall women this is especially true and even for very good reason. Many tall women who are great at building rapport and getting on the same level with other folks around them consciously or subconsciously attempt to make others comfortable by not towering over them. This can minimize their presence both figuratively and literally. Believe me if you’re tall everyone knows it and you should celebrate it. I’d love another 5-6 inches of height myself!

Poor posture is considered the number 1 Body Language sign of uncertainty, lack of confidence, low energy, discouragement, and submissiveness.

So when your parents told you to stand up straight and keep your chin up they had very good reason. Great posture will affect your mind, body and spirit in a remarkably positive way giving you an instant boost of Calmfidence®.

And if you are a petite person people may begin to even say you have a “tall” personality. Now that’s a compliment I’ll take any day!
